At SENT, we have the privilege to support entrepreneurs. To bring their vision to reality, entrepreneurs necessarily must be hard workers.
Pope Francis recently named this year the “Year of St. Joseph” and March 19 will be the Feast Day of St. Joseph. St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, is also the patron of workers.
Jesus, the Son of God, spent most of his life as a carpenter, plying his trade and working. He was taught the value of work and the technical aspects of carpentry by St. Joseph. If St. Joseph was chosen by God as good enough to teach Jesus Christ about work, he can certainly be a model and intercessor for us in our work.
Work is intrinsically good. Without it, we can become slothful. Too much of it and we can become slaves. St. Joseph can help guide us to the right balance of work. He can also teach us how to sanctify our work, so that it is done with LOVE and thereby may more fully glorify God.
I hope you enjoy the resources below on St. Joseph.
Prayers for you in the midst of this Lenten Season,

Pope Francis’ Meditation on Surrendering Our Will to God
“Often in life, things happen whose meaning we do not understand. Our first reaction is frequently one of disappointment and rebellion. Joseph set aside his own ideas in order to accept the course of events and, mysterious as they seemed, to embrace them, take responsibility for them and make them part of his own history. Unless we are reconciled with our own history, we will be unable to take a single step forward, for we will always remain hostage to our expectations and the disappointments that follow.” –Pope Francis
Year of St. Joseph
On December 10th, Pope Francis announced a Year of St. Joseph, in honor of the 150th anniversary of his proclamation as patron of the Universal Church. As we draw close to the feast day of Saint Joseph, March 19th, we invite you to join us in praying a novena leading up to his feast day!
Novena to St. Joseph
Starts March 11 and finishes on March 19, Feast of St. Joseph
We recall Pope Francis’ words that “every member of the faithful, following his example, may strengthen their life of faith daily in the complete fulfillment of God’s will.” Below you will find a link to a 9-day novena to Saint Joseph. We highly encourage you to pray with this great patron Saint of the Church.
