Who are our Coaches

John Cannon

After graduating from Harvard Business School and Oxford, serving Fortune 500 clients as an investment banker, and running his own management consulting practice, John experienced a profound conversion and gave up everything to live as a Carmelite monk for 7 years where he also received degrees in philosophy and theology. His fascination with the lives of the Saints and the world-changing ventures they built led him to step back into the world of entrepreneurship to found a first-of-its-kind network of Spirit-led founders.

Jeremy Aranda

Jeremy is the president of Life on Belay, which aims to increase a community’s capacity to love those most vulnerable through community anchoring programs. With more than 20 years of diverse experience serving nonprofits, Jeremy has distinguished himself as a leader in the nonprofit space. From 2013 until 2019, he led and grew his own consulting agency focused on increasing capacity for nonprofits. In 2017, Jeremy focused his consulting efforts on Human Coalition. As the Vice President for Strategic Services at Human Coalition, he focused his effort on accelerating the organization through innovation, data-driven insights, and a rigorous discipline of operational excellence and continual improvement.

FAQs

  • Each fellow is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of others. What is said at meetings and within the community is held in strict confidence.

The Chatham House Rule applies in which participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, should be revealed.

  • SENT strives to challenge and support our entrepreneurs to grow spiritually, personally, and professionally. Many similar organizations only care about business results, but we desire for you to live a fully integrated Catholic life while also providing you with the benefits and resources necessary for success.

The concept is similar to a mastermind group, but adapted into a Catholic context. Rather than focus solely on business results, SENT Communities desire to see its members flourish in their personal, spiritual, and business lives.

  • Vulnerability

    • We strive to check our egos at the door.

    • We will allow ourselves to be vulnerable and trusting. Through reliance on others, we will open doors to greater growth.

    Be Present

    • Once the meeting times are established, fellows will make every effort to be present for the community. Emergencies and major situations will undoubtedly emerge, but priority is placed on the community sessions.

    Give Generously

    • Authentic charity involves a sincere gift of self.

    • We will be intentional and proactive about the giving of ourselves to others in community -through our time, our willingness to offer honest feedback, willingness to share our networks, generosity of prayer, and openness to assist others in community even outside of the meetings.

    Receive Generously

    • Authentic charity also entails a humility to receive from others -- whether that is a material gift or constructive feedback.

    • As fellows of the community, we will be open to receive help, support, guidance, suggestions, ideas, prayer, and more in a spirit of humility.

    Be Patient

    • All good things take time and investment. We will endeavor to give space and time for the community—and ourselves—to blossom more fully.

  • Twice a year (Spring and Fall). But you can join SENT Essential Membership at any time.
