About SENT

Founded in 2020, SENT is a network for Catholic executives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders seeking to uplift society by leveling up their businesses and growing in their faith. SENT Membership offers online connection and formation for business and spiritual growth through the Fellowship program and Essential Membership. In 2024, SENT began to offer Local Membership, rolling out local SENT communities in New York City, Washington D.C., Southern California, and Charlotte, NC, with more to come. The Annual SENT Summit is the pinnacle of the SENT experience, where members and non-members alike can benefit from spiritual rejuvenation, build relationships with other leaders, and be inspired to make infinite impact.

THE SENT

SENT Ventures, a network for Catholic business builders, is thrilled to host the 3rd Annual SENT Summit, a four-day conference for Catholic entrepreneurs, executives, and investors this September at the Omni Hotel & Resort in Fort Worth, Texas. The SENT Summit schedule will include the SENT Pitch Competition, the first-ever SENT Mission Showcase, and prominent keynotes from high-caliber speakers such as Tom Monaghan, Founder of Domino’s and Ave Maria University, and Alex Jones, Founder and CEO of Hallow.

Summit Speakers

Tom Monaghan

  • While best known as founder of Domino’s Pizza and former owner of the Detroit Tigers, Tom Monaghan sold Domino’s Pizza in 1998 to Bain Capital, Inc., leaving behind its day-to-day operations, which he had overseen for 38 years. Since then, he has been working full time to help the Church through the Ave Maria Foundation, which is a foundation that he established to assist the various Catholic lay apostolates that he founded.

    In 1987, Monaghan founded Legatus, an international organization of Catholic CEO’s and presidents committed to studying, living and spreading their faith through their professional and personal lives. In addition to Legatus, Monaghan’s focus has primarily been in the area of Catholic higher education. He is the founder of both Ave Maria University, a comprehensive Catholic liberal arts university located in the town of Ave Maria in southwest Florida and Ave Maria School of Law which is a Catholic law school located in Naples, Florida.

    Monaghan and his wife, Marjorie, were married for more than 60 years until she passed away in the summer of 2023. He has four daughters, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Alex Jones

  • Alex is the CEO & Co-Founder of Hallow, a Catholic prayer & meditation app. He was raised a Catholic but fell away from his faith at a young age. He became fascinated with secular meditation but kept feeling like he was being pulled towards something spiritual. He began asking around and discovered the deeply contemplative and meditative tradition within the Catholic faith. It changed his life, brought him back to the faith, & was the inspiration behind Hallow. Hallow is only 5 years old, but with the help of a phenomenal team, it is now the #1 prayer app in the world with 14 million downloads, 375 million prayers prayed, and over 200,000 five-star reviews. Alex grew up in Columbus, Ohio, went to undergrad at the University of Notre Dame, graduate school at Stanford, worked professionally in consulting before Hallow at McKinsey & Co, and now lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and son.

Gen. Kevin Chilton

  • General Kevin Chilton is an independent consultant specializing in National Security Programs. His Air Force career spanned more than 34 years and culminated as Commander of U.S. Strategic Command from 2007 to 2011, where he was responsible for the plans and operations for all U.S. forces conducting Strategic Nuclear Deterrence missions, and the U.S. Department of Defense Space and Cyberspace operations. 

    Prior to this assignment, General Chilton commanded Air Force Space Command, 8th Air Force and the 9th Reconnaissance Wing. He flew operational assignments in the R-4C and F-15, was an Air Force Test Pilot and a NASA astronaut flying as the pilot for STS-49 and STS-59 and as the Commander of STS-76. He also served as the Deputy Program Manager for Operations for the International Space Station Program. 

    General Chilton is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy, with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Engineering Sciences, a Columbia University Guggenheim Fellow with a Master of Sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training and Test Pilot schools. He also was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Creighton University. 

    General Chilton is a Trustee for the Air Force Academy Falcon Foundation, an Independent Governor on the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories Boards of Governors, and a Director for The Pikes Peak or Bust Foundation, Lumen Technologies Inc. and Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions.

  • Before founding SENT, John got degrees in Finance, Political Science, and Business from Notre Dame, Oxford, and Harvard. He was an investment banker, boutique management consultant, and Policy Advisor to the Governor of Alabama.

    He then became a Carmelite Brother for 7 years where he pursued advanced degrees in Philosophy and Theology, delving into the study of founder Saints.

    He eventually discerned out to found SENT and help Catholic founders and execs take their ventures and lives to the next level.

  • JCK is a faith-driven entrepreneur who is passionate about ecumenism, moonshot entrepreneurial ideas, and bridging the gap between faith and work.

    Prior to joining SENT, JCK studied Philosophy, Theology, and History at Covenant College and Oxford University, founded multiple ventures, was a start-up operations consultant, and led operations for SURV, a growth-stage company based in RI. He is a pianist, composer, poet, outdoorsman, want-to-be chef, and an endurance athlete.

    You will find JCK and his lovely wife, Josefa, sipping espresso, singing hymns, and savoring homemade pizza at their home in Greenville, SC.

  • Nick is a faith-filled entrepreneur with a passion for building community.

  • SENT offers in-person and online events and content to help members grow their businesses while growing spiritually. This includes but is not limited to monthly group mentorship calls, networking events, the SENT Resource Library, Fellowship cohorts, local communities, and SENT Circles

     

  • SENT Fellowship is the premier SENT program designed for high-impact founders and executives. The Fellowship program places Fellows in peer cohorts based on a variety of factors, including industry and growth stage. The program guides the members to build community while unpacking together what Catholic business design and work-life integration mean for them and their companies as they continue to scale.  SENT Fellowship includes everything in Local Membership should the member reside in a qualifying city. 

  • Membership offers access to quarterly in-person events, a network of regional Catholic business leaders, insights from top Catholic business speakers, and opportunities for meaningful, faith-driven relationships.

  • SENT Essential membership gives members access to SENT Circles, which are industry-based groups, monthly mentorship events, the SENT Resource library, and the Community Platform and Member Directory.

  • Currently, SENT Membership best serves values-aligned founders and executives who have a minimum of $250K in revenue or capital raised. For applicants who don’t yet meet this revenue mark, but are full-time with their new ventures and have great previous experience building businesses or are moving toward these growth goals, applications are still encouraged. 

  • The 2024 SENT Summit is open to all Catholic executives, entrepreneurs, and growth-minded mission and business leaders.
